Man Lā Yaḥḍuruh al-Faqīh, vol. 2, no. 921
2488 - وَ سُئِلَ اَلنَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اَللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ : أَيُّ اَلْمَالِ خَيْرٌ، قَالَ «زَرْعٌ زَرَعَهُ صَاحِبُهُ وَ أَصْلَحَهُ وَ أَدَّى حَقَّهُ يَوْمَ حَصَادِهِ» قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ فَأَيُّ اَلْمَالِ بَعْدَ اَلزَّرْعِ خَيْرٌ قَالَ «رَجُلٌ فِي غَنَمِهِ قَدْ تَبِعَ بِهَا مَوَاضِعَ اَلْقَطْرِ يُقِيمُ اَلصَّلاَةَ وَ يُؤْتِي اَلزَّكَاةَ» قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ فَأَيُّ اَلْمَالِ بَعْدَ اَلْغَنَمِ خَيْرٌ قَالَ «اَلْبَقَرُ تَغْدُو بِخَيْرٍ وَ تَرُوحُ بِخَيْرٍ» قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ فَأَيُّ اَلْمَالِ بَعْدَ اَلْبَقَرِ خَيْرٌ فَقَالَ «اَلرَّاسِيَاتُ فِي اَلْوَحَلِ اَلْمُطْعِمَاتُ فِي اَلْمَحْلِ ، نِعْمَ اَلشَّيْءُ اَلنَّخْلُ مَنْ بَاعَهُ فَإِنَّمَا ثَمَنُهُ بِمَنْزِلَةِ رَمَادٍ عَلَى رَأْسِ شَاهِقَةٍ «اِشْتَدَّتْ بِهِ اَلرِّيحُ فِي يَوْمٍ عٰاصِفٍ» إِلاَّ أَنْ يُخْلِفَ مَكَانَهَا» قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ فَأَيُّ اَلْمَالِ بَعْدَ اَلنَّخْلِ خَيْرٌ فَسَكَتَ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ فَأَيْنَ اَلْإِبِلُ قَالَ «فِيهَا اَلشَّقَاءُ وَ اَلْجَفَاءُ وَ اَلْعَنَاءُ وَ بُعْدُ اَلدَّارِ تَغْدُو مُدْبِرَةً وَ تَرُوحُ مُدْبِرَةً لاَ يَأْتِي خَيْرُهَا إِلاَّ مِنْ جَانِبِهَا اَلْأَشْأَمِ أَمَا إِنَّهَا لاَ تَعْدَمُ اَلْأَشْقِيَاءَ اَلْفَجَرَةَ ».
Hadith.2488 - The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah (swt) be upon him and his family) was asked: "Which wealth is best?"
Prophet (sw) replied: "A crop that its owner sows, tends to, and gives its due when it is harvested."
He was asked: "O Messenger of Allah (swt), which wealth is best after crops?"
Prophet (sw) replied: "A man with his sheep, following rain-fed pastures, who establishes prayer and pays zakat."
He was asked: "O Messenger of Allah (swt), which wealth is best after sheep?"
Prophet (sw) replied: "Cattle, which bring benefit in the morning and in the evening."
He was asked: "O Messenger of Allah (swt), which wealth is best after cattle?"
Prophet (sw) replied: "Date palms, which are steadfast in mud and provide food during drought. Indeed, palm trees are excellent. However, whoever sells them finds their price like ashes blown by a stormy wind atop a high mountain, unless he plants their replacement."
He was asked: "O Messenger of Allah (swt), which wealth is best after date palms?"
The Prophet remained silent.
A man then asked: "What about camels, O Messenger of Allah (swt)?"
Prophet (sw) replied: "In them is hardship, roughness, and toil. They are far removed (from human company), leaving in the morning and returning in the evening. Their benefit comes only from their left side. Indeed, they are not free from the wicked and the disobedient."
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ سے سوال ہوا: أي المال خیر ہے؟ فرمایا: "زرع جسے صاحب نے بویا اور اسے اصلاح کی اور حصاد کے دن اس کا حق ادا کیا۔" کہا گیا: یا رسول اللہ! زرع کے بعد أي المال خیر ہے؟ فرمایا: "رجل اپنی غنم میں جو بارش کے مواضع میں ان کے پیچھے گیا، نماز قائم کرتا ہے اور زکوۃ ادا کرتا ہے۔" کہا گیا: یا رسول اللہ! غنم کے بعد أي المال خیر ہے؟ فرمایا: "بقر جو صبح خیر سے تغدو اور شام خیر سے تروح۔" کہا گیا: یا رسول اللہ! بقر کے بعد أي المال خیر ہے؟ فرمایا: "الراسیات وحل میں، المطعمات محل میں۔ نعم الشیء النخل۔ جو اسے بیچے تو اس کا ثمن رماد کی طرح ہے بلند شاہقہ کے سر پر جسے ہوا تیز کردے، سوائے اس کے کہ وہ اس کی جگہ خلف کرے۔" کہا گیا: یا رسول اللہ! نخل کے بعد أي المال خیر ہے؟ تو خاموشی میں۔ ایک رجل نے کہا: الإبل کہاں ہے؟ فرمایا: "ان میں الشقاء اور الجفاء اور العناء ہے اور بعد الدار۔ تغدو مدبرة اور تروح مدبرة۔ خیرها صرف جانب الأشأم سے آتی ہے۔ واقعی وہ الأشقیاء اور الفجرة سے خالی نہیں رہتے۔"
