2- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ شَمُّونٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الأصَمِّ عَنْ مِسْمَعِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ لَمَّا بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللهِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) بِبَرَاءَةَ مَعَ عَلِيٍّ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) بَعَثَ مَعَهُ أُنَاساً وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) مَنِ اسْتَأْسَرَ مِنْ غَيْرِ جِرَاحَةٍ مُثْقِلَةٍ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا.
2. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn al-Hassan ibn Shammun from ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman al-Asamm from Misma’ ibn ‘Abd al-Malik who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that when the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, sent through Ali (a.s.), the declaration of the abrogation of peace treaty to be announce in Makkah, he sent along with him a group of people. The Messenger of Allah then said (to them), ‘Those who turn themselves into captivity without having sustained a disabling wound are not of our people.’”
عدّة من أصحابنا نے سہل بن زیاد سے روایت کی، محمد بن الحسن بن شمّون سے، عبداللہ بن عبدالرحمن الاصمّ سے، مسمع بن عبدالملک سے، ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام سے، انہوں نے فرمایا: جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ نے سورۃ البراءة (یعنی براءة کی سورت) علی بن ابی طالب علیہ السلام کے ساتھ بھیجی تو ان کے ساتھ کچھ لوگوں کو بھی بھیجا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ نے انہیں فرمایا: جو شخص بغیر سخت و پریشان کن زخم کے خود کو اسیر (قیدی) بنا لے تو وہ ہم میں سے نہیں ہے۔
