PickthallSay: He is the Beneficent. In Him we believe and in Him we put our trust. And ye will soon know who it is that is in error manifest.
Yusuf AliSay: "He is (Allah) Most Gracious: We have believed in Him, and on Him have we put our trust: So, soon will ye know which (of us) it is that is in manifest error."
The agreed readingSay: He is the Compassionate. In Him we believe and in Him we put our trust — and you will come to know who is in clear error.
PickthallSay: Have ye thought: If (all) your water were to disappear into the earth, who then could bring you gushing water?
Yusuf AliSay: "See ye?- If your stream be some morning lost (in the underground earth), who then can supply you with clear-flowing water?"
The agreed readingSay: if your water sank away into the earth, who would bring you flowing water? The commentaries close the sura on the same note: the water you draw so easily could vanish past reach, and none but He could return it.

H 431 - It is narrated from Saad bin Abdullah from Hasan bin Ali Zaituni and Abdullah bin Ja’far Himyari together from Ahmad bin Hilal from Ibn Mahbub from Abul Hasan Imam Ali Ridha (a.s) that he said in a long tradition, which we have condensed here as follows: “It is inevitable that a terrible mischief will arise, in which all the secrets will be exposed and it will happen at a time when the Shia will be deprived of my third descendant; that is after the passing away of Imam Hasan Askari (a.s) on which the folks of the earth and the sky will mourn. And how many will be aggrieved by the disappearance of the spring of sweet water. As if I can see their worried state, when there will be a …

1. We were told by my father, may Allah grant him mercy, that he said: We were told by Sa’d bin Abdullah, that he said: We were told by Ahmad bin Muhammed bin ‘Isa, from Muhammed bin Isma’il bin Bazee’, from Mansur bin Yunus, from an attendant at Abu Hamza, from Abu Hamza, that he said: I said to Abu Ja’far, peace be upon him: The saying of Allah, Exalted is He: «Everything is to perish, except for His Face» (28:88) He said: Everything is to perish and His Face will remain. Indeed, Allah, Exalted and Glorious is He, is Greater than being characterized with a face, however, its meaning is: Everything is to perish, except for His religion and the face from which He is approached.

4-16 In another tradition it is narrated that (The author of the book narrated) my father - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Sa’d ibn Abdullah quoted on the authority of Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Isa, on the authority of Ali ibn al-Hakam, on the authority of Haydar ibn Ayyoub, “We were in a place known as Qaba in Medina where Muhammad ibn Zayd ibn Ali lived. Muhammad came later than usual. We asked him, ‘May we be your ransom! What kept you from coming on time?’ He said, ‘Abu Ibrahim (s) invited seventeen men from the descendants of Ali (s) and (the Blessed Lady) Fatima (s). He had us bear witness that his son Ali is his Testamentary Trustee and deputy in his lifetime and after his …
